“Tinker, Tailor” is a traditional nursery rhyme and a fortune-telling dating back to late 15th century, England. A strikingly crafted homage to a bygone era of filmmaking that also feels thrillingly contemporary.
Honestly, really confusing most of the time, and while the acting is top notch, there's not a lot of espionage going on here, especially for a so-called "spy movie."
Inherently a tale of intrigue, Alfredson may have created one of the most introverted spy thrillers ever filmed.
