Mandy lends Ella her boyfriend, Benny, whom she accidentally transformed into a magic book. All though this was a movie that was fairly predictable, there was enough changes to the same ole same ole to make it enjoyable. Benny shows that Edgar has poisoned Char's crown, intending to kill him at his coronation. Although she is eager to find him, she realizes it could cause a scandal and cost him the election. Identical twins Annie and Hallie, separated at birth and each raised by one of their biological parents, later discover each other for the first time at summer camp and make a plan to bring their wayward parents back together. Forced back to the castle, Ella stumbles into the ball.
