What a great way to save money, getting 2 sets at a time. For instance, the font in these books is large, and the sentences are short. Browse by level to find great books that are just right for your emerging reader. BOB Books were recommended to my by a few teachers that I value their opinion, so I bought this set (My First Bob Books Pre-Reading Skills) to help my little boy learn to read. I’ve still chosen to purchase every set (mostly used on Amazon or Ebay or Goodwill). Receive book suggestions, reading tips, educational activities, and great deals.
But my #3 child looooved reading them, so we would often end up reading more than one when he was learning.
I was so confused between the Series & Collections.
Do I need them all?

It has quite a few words in the book that he (in Kindergarten) was not … Great for kindergarten and first grade readers, this boxed set includes twelve mini-books.

In the collections you get TWO sets of books in large format, sheets of stickers to go with the books, and some other little stuff like a bookmark, door hanger, etc…Whenever the kids finish reading me a book from their set, I let them place a sticker on the front cover of the book so we know it’s done.Here’s the part that can be confusing. They also say this in the guide that came with my Sight Words Kindergarten.That’s how the Bob Books people advertise to read through them, anyway.Just thought I’d let you know about a possible mistake.Hey thanks for the heads up. We have the Level B set of these Scholastic First Little Readers and I am very impressed. Paddington. My Community. He enjoys alphabet flash cards that I laminated.
I was also able to see that even easy books like Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss had a decoding score of 2. !Just wanted to let people know, if you want to give Bob Books a try, they are FREE on Hoopla. We got the pre-reader collection for his 2nd birthday and he likes them (the stories with the characters more than the letter introductions), but he’s 4 now and I’d really like to start him on the main series.If I remember right, the set is split, the first half of the books in one collection, the second half-life in the next collection.Thank you!
