By some distance the biggest thing to ever come out of Denver City, Texas, Tanya Tucker took the country world by surprise with her 1972 debut smash, "Delta Dawn"; not since Brenda Lee's mid-1950s records had an adolescent country singer sounded so little like a gimmick. 20 Greatest Hits is a compilation album featuring a selection of songs by The Beatles that were number one singles in the UK and US.
This is the sixth official greatest hits collection of Tanya Tucker's career and it is a great one.
20 Greatest Hits. 9
please advise me of how much this item is being sold for.
Got one with blue labels.
It is a good greatest hits collection.
4.7 out of 5 stars 106 ratings.
Recorded for Capitol Records between 1986 and 1997 and including one previously unreleased track--the slinky "Black Water Bayou"--these songs are crisp, soulful mainstream country with a slight R&B influence in Tucker's better-than-ever vocals.
Gema Biem. very dissapointed
Can't find it on discogs.
Fair warning: the version of "Delta Dawn" included here is a 1991 re-recording, not the original 1972 hit single.
This is one of the only sources of the short version of "Hey Jude."
Included are all her hits from 1990 through 1997 and a few added bonuses. referencing 20 Greatest Hits, LP, Comp, 2C 070-07674, 2C 070-07.674.
Packaging is just basic but nice an adequate for a budget release. Unfortunately, following a healthy string of country hits, an ill-advised move into rock & roll, starting with 1978's TNT, began a period of personal and professional turmoil.
Data Correct It's my idea or this lp sounds terrible? It contains 20 tracks and has more music than many of the other best of cd's out there.
The songs that kept her name in the forefront of the country revolution of the early 1990's are all here.
My copy has the same Matrix /Runout SV-12245 F-12, but it has a Purple Capitol Label and clear inner-dust sleeve.
And at this price for 20 songs.. well it is a doozy of a bargain.
